Victor L. Roy, Sr. notebooks, 1894-1913 (bulk 1894-1904).

Collection consists of Victor Roy's personal diary (1894-1904); and notebooks (1894-1896, ca. 1913). Entries in the personal diary are concerned primarily with his activities in New Orleans, including his attendance at Tulane Graduate School, at Marksville Academy and Southwestern Louisiana Institute. Diary also refers to family matters. Five notebooks containing notes for courses in physics and related subjects at Tulane University. Notebook #1 also contains a school exercise prepared ca. 1913. Notebook #6 has the name O. J. Roy on the flyleaf.

Victor Leander Roy, native of Mansura, Louisiana, and an early graduate of Louisiana State University was a prominent Louisiana educator for nearly forty-six years. His employment included public school teacher, superintendent of parish school systems, and Louisiana's first agriculture agent.
